Our colleague Sara Berman will take part in the "9th Maghrebian Colloquium of Applied Geophysics" with the paper "localization of sulfide mineralization by AEM-corrected gravimetry for regional sedimentation in the Iberian pyritic belt".
In this study, a method for estimating basement depth from AEM corrected by drill logs is established. The sedimentary cover correction is subtracted from the Bouguer anomaly, which allows discriminating gravity anomalies generated by paleo-relief from anomalies caused by sulfides under a lower density cover layer.
